MASELEK BROTHERS DEBUTED FOR PROSTO!

PROSTO crashed Polonia Falcon Junior team 8:1 in a scrimmage

Just 2 days after defeating Olympia Stamford, N.B. PROSTO played a scrimmage versus the White Eagles in New Britain, CT. The opponent wasn't a high caliber team, but that's exactly what PROSTO needed. The team needed to practice finishing goal scoring chances and work on the possession. The game also gave other players a chance to show their skills to coach Buksza. The final score of the game ended up 8-1 in favor of New Britain PROSTO S.C. After the game coach Bukasza said he was pleased with the team's discipline and finally the ability to finish goal scoring opportunities.

N.B. PROSTO Kicks-OFF the 2009 Spring Season April 19th!

New Britain PROSTO S.C. will travel to Sandy Hook, Conn. for their season opener against Newtown S.C. The game is scheduled to kick-off April 19th at 5:00 p.m. In their last meeting, PROSTO S.C defeated Newtown S.C 4:0. During the winter break, the team signed 2 new players to the roster for the upcoming season. A very experienced midfielder Marcin Winiarski who formerly played for F.C POLONIA will be a great asset to the team. Winiarski will probably fill in the left midfield position. His experience and speed, as well as a great work ethic will give PROSTO more options to create scoring chances from the outside. Another addition to the team is Dawid Fedorowicz. Fedorowicz who recently played for Kolbuszowianka Kolbuszowa in Poland will take over the goalkeeper position. Dawid who just turned 19 this year is a young player but with a lot of game experience. Fedorowicz currently lives in New York, but has a plan to move to Connecticut to join his new team. As a reminder New Britain PROSTO currently hold the #8 (11pts.) spot in the CSL with 18 points behind the leader Danbury United (29pts.). Only top 6 teams will make the CSL 2009 Play-OFFS this season, N.B PROSTO will need to catch up to Hartford Ports who currently holds the #6 spot in the league with 18 points.

Despite an even first half, PROSTO couldn’t keep up with the FIRE Squad in the second half which resulted in a 1-3 loss and elimination from the tournament.
